PLASTIC SOUP
The measures stem from the European Single-Use Plastics Directive. In all European member states, since July 3, 2021, this directive has introduced measures to reduce environmental impact of the 10 most commonly found single-use plastic products on beaches. For the use of single-use plastic cups and food packaging, member states must achieve an ambitious and sustained reduction in 2026 compared to 2022.
